Invisible space characters for Free Fire names and other apps

An invisible name is made with a Unicode character that draws nothing, not with the spacebar. For a Free Fire nickname the usual first choice is Hangul Filler (U+3164), because Unicode classes it as a letter and it still takes up the room of one character.

Why the spacebar does not work

The keyboard space is U+0020. Name fields commonly trim it from the start and end of a name, and reject a name made only of spaces. Hangul Filler sits in the Hangul Compatibility Jamo block and counts as a letter, so a filter that removes spaces often leaves it alone. Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800) is a symbol: a braille cell with no raised dots.

Zero Width Space and the byte order mark are a different kind of character. They are format controls with no width at all, so a name made only of them leaves nothing to see or tap, and many apps delete them on save. They are more useful as an unseen separator between visible letters.

What a blank nickname does and does not do

The game decides which characters a nickname may contain, and it can change that rule in any update. A character accepted today can be refused later, and a name the game no longer allows may be reset. A blank nickname does not hide an account either: your player ID stays the same, and other players can still find, block or report you by it.

Small space or wide space

A search for a small invisible space is usually a search for a narrower gap. Hangul Filler and Ideographic Space are as wide as a Korean or Chinese character, Braille Pattern Blank is one braille cell wide, Halfwidth Hangul Filler is about half as wide as Hangul Filler, and the zero width characters add no gap. Choose by the width you need, then check the result in the game's own font.

Setting a blank nickname in Free Fire

1. Select Hangul Filler in the tool above and copy it. Paste it between two letters in a notes app first: if a gap appears between the letters, the character is on your clipboard.
2. In Free Fire, open your profile and choose to edit your nickname. Changing a nickname normally costs diamonds or a name change card, so check the price before you continue.
3. Delete the old name completely, paste the character and confirm. If the game says the name is taken or not allowed, paste the character two or three times, or go back and try Braille Blank.
4. Leave the profile screen and open it again. If the nickname is still blank, the game saved it. If the old name is back, that character is filtered.
5. Stop if the game shows a warning about the name. That is a rule set by the game, not a clipboard problem, and the rule can change with any update.
